ERLINGUR THORODDSEN

Praised for his atmospheric style and tension building technique, Erlingur garnered attention for his festival winning horror film, Rift, which was recognized on numerous top 10 lists, won Outfest’s Visionary Award, and was shortlisted for Iceland’s foreign language Academy Awards entry. Erlingur wrote the Blumhouse slasher, Midnight Kiss, and an English-language remake of Rift is currently in development with XYZ, previously MGM/Orion. Erlingur’s most recent feature film, the Icelandic thriller Kuldi, spent 4 weeks at the top of the Nordic box office. His upcoming English language debut, The Piper, premiered at Screamfest and comes out in theaters in July 2024.
